The software update previously given notice about here has now begun.
EDIT: And we’re back up. Clear your brower’s cache, restart it and go to Soulreaper.net and you should see the forum again.
During the forthcoming 6-7 days, Soulreaper.net will be updated to a new version of the software we’re running, and also our forum will have a new look.
The update will mean that there will be some downtime when the forum will not be accessible, and there may be some tweaking when the forum is back up. Thus, we ask for your patience during this time.
Another thing we hope you have not missed is the image hosting-service called “ImageReap“. The site enables you to create your own personal galleries, and you choose if you want your images to be publically viewable or not. ImageReap also comes complete with easy to copy/paste links for both regular sites, forums and social networking sites like MySpace, Facebook etc.
Take care everyone!
Hi guys, at around 22.00 (GMT+1) the server Soulreaper.net is on experienced extremely high loads and this resulted in slow performance and even momentary downtime of the forum.
EDIT 23.02: There is still residual errors, I’ll post an update when it is over.
EDIT 23.15: Server load seem to be under control again.
Everything should be back to normal now though. If you have any questions regarding the issue above or anyhing else, feel free to contact us!
The site may be un-available during saturday evening/night starting from 21.00 (gmt+1) due to database maintenance, software-updating and the adding of a new feature.
I’m sending out an email about this now. The chat will be available through-out this time.
Edit: The update seem to have went fine! You should also take a peek at the new “add to”-service that was installed tonight. Now you can add your own or others’ threads to services such as digg and del.icio.us. (see screenshot below)
The domain Soulreaper.net is “lost” for the moment because the domain name was moved to another registrar, which in this case meant that they wrote over the DNS-servers set for Soulreaper.net - rendering them pointing to a “black hole”. The actual site is up and running without any problems.
As soon as your ISPs DNS-servers have updated, you’ll see the site as normally. This usually shouldn’t happen, but in this case it did and I apologize for this - even if it was out of my hands this time.
When you no longer see this page and is directed to Soulreaper.net it is working as it should.
The site is up again, no data was lost.
My apologies for the downtime.
Right now the site is down due a database crash, it’ll get restored from a fresh backup shortly.
